At MetaSource, we are committed to providing the technology and expertise that makes things easier for our clients in the mortgage industry.
Nowhere is that commitment stronger than in the work of our product development team members, who are tireless in their efforts to find an easier way to do just about everything.
This month, as we introduce the latest features of a product that has dramatically simplified the tedious work of reconciling mortgage data between multiple systems, we’d like to introduce the team member whose dedication and obsession with user-friendly processes has given us the industry-leading technology for the reconciliation of mortgage data with the MERS system.
A veteran of the mortgage industry with 18 years’ experience working in capacities that include closing, processing, and operations, MetaSource Director of Product Development Dacia Donohue has an innate understanding of the industry, a critical mind for problem solving, and a passion for finding innovative technological solutions to streamline processes and overcome challenges.
mintrak®2™: MERS Technology that Customers Can Use Intuitively
That has served her well in her work on the mintrak® system. As project development designer, Donohue oversaw the launch of the technology in 2011 and two subsequent releases, including the 2014 overhaul, mintrak2. This edition improved user experience with an added audit trail, cross-browser compatibility, enhanced reporting, and more user-friendly interfaces and design.
“Mortgage is complicated enough,” Donohue says. “We wanted something that our clients can use intuitively without a lot of training.”
Most recently, Donohue oversaw the launch of a new feature that will make reporting even easier with an option that allows users to send incremental updates and instantly update their reports.
Among servicers who work with MERSCORP Holdings, reconciling data to meet the requirements of the MERS Annual Report can be daunting. mintrak2 was created to address an OCC mandate that exacerbated the shortcomings of systems that relied on manual work as part of the process. It has since become a popular tool for both its effectiveness and ease of use, with an estimated 35% share of the market for MERS QC services.
A Mission Inside and Outside of Work
Outside of MetaSource, Donohue is a board member and volunteer team leader at Colorado Destination Imagination, a non-profit organization that aims to foster learning and engage students with technology to empower them to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. She credits the children she works with—who are in grades 3-8—for inspiring her work in the industry (and vice versa).
When it comes to today’s mortgage industry leaders, Donohue’s innovations, passion, and accomplishments have made her an inspiration to both her coworkers and to our clients at MetaSource, who rely on us for the technology and processes that allows them to focus on their core business.
